The 14th Qingdao International Sailing Week and Qingdao International Marine Festival will be held from Aug 5 to 14 at the Olympic Sailing Center in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province.
According to the event's organizing committee, nearly 50 activities will be held, covering sailing competitions, sports promotions, cultural exchanges and business and trade transactions.

The city will continue to implement the "Sports +" strategy, and stimulate the vitality of urban economic development through sports consumption, cross-regional cooperation, the integration of multiple business forms and brand linkage.
The Qingdao Dialogue on Sports and Vitality in the Yellow River Basin will be held for the first time, aiming to highlight the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, and build an exchange and cooperation platform with cities in the Yellow River Basin.
This year, more sailing competitions at different levels are expected to be held to attract more people to the sport.
The China Sailing City Super League, a key march organized by the Chinese Yachting Association, will also take place during the festival. Qingdao is the second stop of the event, and there will be 15 teams from domestic cities attending the competition.
The City Club Open Regatta International (CCOR) will be held at the Olympic Sailing Center at the end of August. Focusing on the integration of culture, art and entertainment, the event attracts many participating teams with high levels of experience and international competitiveness.
The Shandong Peninsula City Sailing Race, the "Mayor's Cup" International Sailing Race, the Qingdao International OP Sailing Camp and Sailing Race and other sailing activities are also set to be held.
Sailing science exhibitions, lectures and other activities have also been planned to promote sailing culture.
