On April 18th, the "Friendly Shandong Remarkable Shandong" 2024 Tokyo presenting event was held in Tokyo, Japan, to showcase the generosity and warmth of "Friendly Shandong" people and the craftsmanship and quality of "Remarkable Shandong" products.

During the theme presenting session, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shandong Province extended its warm invitation to the world to explore the excellent traditional culture, magnificent landscapes, and colorful folk customs of Shandong. Yantai, Jining, and Weihai respectively presented the natural scenery and cultural landscapes of their regions and shared the precious friendship between China and Japan.

At the event, a themed exhibition titled "Friendly Shandong Remarkable Shandong" was held, featuring four exhibition areas, namely Shandong handicrafts, interactive experience, local agricultural products, and innovative achievements. Through pictures, physical objects, videos, and live performances, the exhibition showcased the dynamic inheritance of traditional culture in Shandong, demonstrated the innovative development of intangible cultural heritage, and highlighted the achievements of green, low-carbon, and high-quality development in Shandong. Nearly a thousand products of over 60 categories were displayed on-site, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the allure of "Friendly Shandong" and experience the excellence of "Remarkable Shandong".

In addition, a media symposium was held to delve into topics such as Shandong's opening up and development, and exchanges and cooperation between China and Japan, to enhance Japanese people's understanding of Shandong through the media as a bridge, deepen the friendship between the people of China and Japan, and promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in various fields.

Over 120 people attended the event, including diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in Japan, representatives from the Japan National Tourism Organization, Japan-China friendship groups, Japanese tourism industry, Japanese financial groups, Japan Science Society, Japanese universities, youth representatives, members of the Shandong delegation, officials from the CICG Asia-Pacific, as well as journalists from Japanese media outlets, Chinese media outlets in Japan, and Japanese Chinese-language media outlets.
